Unusual Light
From the unusual light
A corner of fate emits
Before it steps back
To where minutes slow:
Lying footprints
Sitting on a throne
Of pale ivory;
Blending arts;
As surrounded by fences
The same gestures:
Sempiternal grin,
Dull courtesy.
This ain’t healing the heart
Felt bursting in the wrists
Of countless figures.
None to blame.
